Red Oak
Classic, time-tested, and true. Red Oak is beloved for its distinctive grain and subtle coloring that matures beautifully with age. Red Oak ranks at a 1290 on the Janka Harness Scale. Although Red Oak is not the hardest wood, it does stand the test of time. Due to its heavy and distinctive grain, Red Oak hides a lot of scratches and dents that other smooth grain products cannot. Red Oak is a popular species for staining because of its neutral base color.
