American Cherry
American Cherry, like Brazilian cherry is a highly photosensitive hardwood. It starts as a light red/tan color and with exposure to UV-light (sunlight) the floor darkens and richens to a distinctive reddish-brown color. Hickory ranks at a 950 on the Janka Hardness Scale. This means that American cherry is a softer hardwood and will show dents and scratches more easily than other species of hardwood. This product may not be best suited for higher traffic areas.
